Cassady Jones-French
Memorial Scholarship
Each year, South Carolina DECA awards one scholarship to an outstanding DECA student to honor the memory of former SC DECA State Officer, Cassady Jones-French.
Cassady was elected to serve South Carolina DECA as the Vice President of Media Relations for the 2008-2009 school year. She was a senior at Socastee High School in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. In 2008, Cassady was involved in a traffic accident, and her life was tragically cut short.
Her friends and family remember her as a caring, loving and loyal friend with a passion for life that seemed to be contagious. DECA members may recognize the phrase "C'est La Vie" or notice that we use the color kelly green in publications and conference decor. This is a tribute to Cassady and her legacy. South Carolina DECA, her family and friends have chosen to remember Cassady through this scholarship.
